Plutonium, is notably more dangerous due to being more
prolific, even if it is still quite rare. Uranium has many of the
same risks as Plutonium, but has a much higher kill record
due to the many power plant failures that involved it.
Notably, one of the most severe incidents was at what once
was the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, where mishandling
of the uranium present caused a massive nuclear meltdown,
spanning around 19 miles around the facility. The meltdown
injured hundreds of people, with a kill count almost reaching
the hundreds. Even as of the launch of this site, the Chernobyl
Exclusion Zone is still unsafe to even inhabit.
